Lead-Safe Certified Firm

Since April 2010
, federal law has required that contractors performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 to be certified by the EPA and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

Montana Paint was proactive, and sent two foremen to get trained and certified by the EPA.  Our company is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm.

We were able to use our new training and work practices in September 2010 while scraping and re-painting the exterior of Cottonwood School.  The project looks great, and and our lead containment practices performed flawlessly.  Parents and children who showed up for the first day of school were treated to nice new colors, and a safer learning environment!

In addition to the proper working practices related to lead-based paint, we are knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to painting older buildings.  We have a few exterior paint products that work extremely well, and we trust them to help our paint jobs last for many years.
