Montana Paint, Inc. was started in 1999 by founder Chris Boyd.

Initially focused on exterior repaints, the company expanded quickly into the custom home market and commercial painting projects. Montana Paint also developed a large pre-finish operation with many different spray booths and automated line machines. Chris has spent years assembling a dynamic team of skilled, passionate people. Some of the salty dogs of the Montana Paint have been around for 11-16 years. Woo Hoo! GO TEAM!

Early on

Montana Paint, Inc. founder, Chris Boyd, has had a passion for painting that started when he began customizing his bicycles, Volkswagens, and motorcycles as a young teenager. Chris worked in the bicycle industry as a shop mechanic, Chicago bicycle messenger, and professional race mechanic for SRAM Corporation. Chris moved to Montana in 1998 and started Montana Paint after painting two neighbor's houses and realizing his passion for quality workmanship was easily utilized in the painting undustry..
